BSA Blue Star 496 (1931 - 1937) Description & History: BSA's most famous single, the half a liter DBD34 Gold Star, started production in 1931 as the Blue Star, which changed itself into Empire Star in 1937. It was renamed after Walter Handley had won a Gold Star at Brooklands that year.
