INDIAN CHIEF 1442 (1999 - 2000) Description & History: The new story of the Indian brand began in 1999 when the name trademark was purchased and a new model, a version of the Chief, was launched. Two years later, in 2001, the Scout and the Spirit models were released. Unfortunately, the adventure of the re-born Indian ended again in 2003, when the company went bankrupt.
