YAMAHA FZ1 998 (2012 - 2013) Description & History: For 2013, the Yamaha FZ1 is a Supersport inspired motorcycle, but it can easily handle the daily commuting. It's sporty heritage is stressed by the aggressive 51 percent front wheel weight bias, and the short fuel tank allowing the rider to move into a forward position.
The FZ1 also boasts Fully adjustable 43mm inverted fork and a single shock with adjustable preload and rebound damping, tunable for sport touring or urban assault. The cast aluminium frame offers increased rigidity and lower weight, using the engine as a stressed member, coupling it with no less than six mounts.
The aggressive geometry of the bike and high-tech equipment make the FZ1 also suitable for track use, especially with the removable pillion seat and passenger pegs.
