BMW F 650 GS 652 (2000 - 2003) Description & History: The BMW F 650 GS was introduced in 2000, being available in both standard models and taller, off-road oriented "Dakar" models. The bike was designed to compete with the Kawasaki KLR650, Suzuki DR650, Honda XR650L, KTM LC4 640 and Yamaha XT660. For 2004, the four valve 652cc Rotax engine of the F-GS comes with fuel injection and with two extra horses and three Nm aboard, the result being 50 horsepower at 6500rpm and 60 Nm at 5000rpm. The F 650 GS Dakar model is due to be discontinued in 2007 and will be replaced by the new G Series.
